Hi. I'm Brent.
I’m Canadian, and have recently moved to London with a full working Visa to explore a career in theatre.
Over the course of my 27 year career, I have gained considerable experience working in graphic design and theatre.
I have worked with many arts organizations. Most notably the last 17 as the Artistic Director with The Community Players of New Hamburg. TCP is a highly respected regional theatre company in Canada that produces several productions each year; one from a 700 seat main stage and the other from a more intimate 150 seat Studio Theatre. As Artistic Director and Producer, I shared the strategic decision-making across all aspects of the organization including production, management and marketing. As the creative lead for the organization, I was the public voice and brand steward. This role also involved building the audience base, and ensuring fiscal success.
As a graphic designer and creative director, I have worked for some of North Americas leading design firms, most notably Perennial Design. My role was to ensure design excellence, manage a group of designers across multiple disciplines and studios. I oversaw a wide range of projects within the graphic design, marketing and communications, packaging and retail sectors.
My lifelong commitment to promoting the theatre industry as a whole, is what fuels me every day. I thrive on working as part of a team, but am equally capable working on my own. I encourage an inclusive and team environment. I’m a quick learn, and fast on my feet and no stranger to managing deadlines. I bring a steadfast work ethic, professionalism and personability to everything I do. I pride myself on being open and honest and treating everyone with respect.
I'm an active and member in good standing with the Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario (RGD), which helps me maintain the high standards of design and professionalism in the industry.
I am a lifelong volunteer, with my creative passion extending to charitable and community endeavors. I love theatre and photography.
